Locations "I'm really an actress, but I play a Location Manager on TV." Sometimes being an actress can leave you really broke! That's why I also work behind the scenes as a Location Scout/Manager for Film and TV projects. My most recent job was as Location Scout and Manager for the international telenovela, Ocean Ave., which starred former Saturday Night Live comedian Victoria Jackson. Ocean Ave. was in production for 9 months, and I worked on it during its final 7 months. This project provided me with a very challenging and fast-paced work environment. My position required a vast knowledge of film-friendly locations from Dade to Broward County, a complete understanding of the proper legalities involved in permitting for each different film commission, and the ability to handle many last minute changes with grace and success. Another favorite project of mine was a series of TV Land commercials for Viacom: Cast Away and Love Boat. As Location Scout and Manager, it was my job to find a completely deserted stretch of beach and to secure a 120-foot yacht *overnight* to double as the Love Boat when our first Cruise Ship pick fell through! Working in Locations is highly deadline-oriented and complements my thrive for success quite nicely. I am confident that my skills and experience would be a terrific asset to any production company's needs. Another perk to hiring me is that I work with a digital camera, and I'm quite web-savvy. Translation: hire me to scout for the day, I'll post the pictures on my website that night and by the next morning they are ready for viewing for both local and out-of-town personnel!
